Last week, the House of Representatives’ Select Panel on Infant Lives recommended prosecution of Planned Parenthood of the Gulf Coast for illegally selling organs and body parts of aborted babies to the University of Texas. This panel has been critical in helping America come to terms with the chilling reality of abortion.

  First Amendment cases are very much on the national mind these days, and the news from the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) is very encouraging for those who believe in strong protections for constitutional freedoms. The court delivered a First Amendment victory last week in a case involving religious free exercise, and kept alive hope for victories in two other cases where the hot button issues of same-sex marriage and abortion are involved.

The heart and soul of the First Amendment is at risk in a case before the Supreme Court. In National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) v. Becerra, which is being argued today, the U.S. Supreme Court will determine the future of the free-speech rights of nearly 3,000 pro-life pregnancy centers nationwide. Its ruling will have ramifications far beyond the walls of pro-life pregnancy centers.
