Thomas A. Glessner, J.D.

Thomas Glessner is the founder and President of the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates Thomas Glessner(NIFLA), a public interest law firm founded in 1993 and committed to legal counsel and training for Pregnancy Resource Centers. NIFLA represents more than 1,430 Pregnancy Resource Centers across the country. As the CEO of NIFLA, Mr. Glessner has developed and implemented legal guidelines for Pregnancy Resource Centers to enable them to convert their operations into licensed medical clinics and provide for abortion-minded clients’ medical services such as ultrasound.

Anne O’Connor, J.D.

anne o'connorAnne O’Connor has been with the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) since 1993. She served as NIFLA‘s General Counsel until she joined the staff full-time as the Vice President of Legal Affairs in April 2013. During her 21 years with NIFLA, Ms. O’Connor has been responsible for writing the monthly NIFLA Legal Tips (now numbering more than 250 editions), performing more than 700 legal audits, consulting with hundreds of centers about the medical clinic conversion process, and teaching at Board trainings, conference workshops, webinars and at NIFLA‘s Institute of Limited Obstetric Ultrasound. She also has written and/or updated many of NIFLA‘s publications, including the Legal Primer, the Medical Clinic Conversion Manual, the Medical Policies & Procedures, and most recently the Basic Operational Policies & Procedures, the Employment Handbook, and the HIPAA Voluntary Compliance Manual.

 

Audrey Stout, R.N., R.D.M.S.

audrey stoutAudrey Stout serves as Vice President of Medical Services for NIFLA. She has been actively involved in pregnancy resource centers since 1987. Audrey was Nurse Manager at pregnancy centers in Marietta, GA and Sandy, OR during their conversion to medical clinics. She developed and taught curriculum for post-abortive women, served on a Pregnancy Medical Clinic Board of Directors. In addition to writing curriculum and instructing with NIFLA‘s Institute in Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound 2000, she has written NIFLA’s monthly Clinic Tips, provided consultation with hundreds of PMCs, spoken at numerous conferences on nursing and sonography. Audrey has trained medical professionals in OB sonography across the U.S. and in Ukraine. Audrey challenges her students to always pursue growth in knowledge, skills and ability to serve the women and their unborn with integrity, compassion and excellence.

Audrey has dedicated her personal and professional life to at risk women, the unborn and those with special needs. Audrey and her husband, Dave, who has pastored churches for over 30 years, reside in Lexington, VA. They have three adult children and one grandson.

 

Dotsy Davis, BSRT, RDMS, RVT

dotsy davisDotsy Davis is an instructor for NIFLA and has over 30 years of obstetrical ultrasound experience in OB/Gyn offices, Pregnancy Medical Clinics and as a college program director. She started a college-based medical sonography program and facilitated the program’s accreditation through the JRCDMS. Dotsy’s heart is to serve in this Ministry for His purposes and His glory.
