The following statement regarding Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings may be attributed to National Institute of Family and Life Advocates President Thomas Glessner:

“NIFLA has significant concerns regarding the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. The Biden administration has committed to codifying Roe v. Wade, and this nomination is in keeping with that promise. Abortion activist groups such as Planned Parenthood and NARAL have spent large sums promoting Jackson, while others publicly support her efforts to reform the Supreme Court and protect abortion.

“Ketanji Brown Jackson’s track record indicates a tendency to favor abortion advocates. NIFLA urges senators to thoroughly examine her pattern of judicial activism and connections to the abortion industry. If confirmed, this appointment may jeopardize NIFLA’s work in protecting thousands of nonprofit pregnancy centers that provide women and babies with essential resources.”

About NIFLA

The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates is a national nonprofit providing legal counsel, education and training for pro-life pregnancy centers and medical clinics. Representing a network of more than 1,600 pregnancy centers across the nation, NIFLA has challenged laws targeting its members in several states – including California, Hawaii, Illinois, North Dakota and New York.

The Supreme Court’s NIFLA v. Becerra ruling protected the free speech rights of pro-life pregnancy centers and all Americans.
