The following quote about NIFLA’s 2021 Leadership Summit may be attributed to National Institute of Family and Life Advocates President Thomas Glessner:
“We have arrived at a pivotal moment for the pro-life movement and the culture war for the very soul of our nation. As arguments for the pivotal Supreme Court case Dobbs v. Jackson draw near, the pro-life movement needs to be prepared for a post-Roe America. Roe and its adherents will have to defend abortion. Pregnancy centers must anticipate an influx of families seeking abortion alternatives. NIFLA is here to equip centers and medical clinics nationwide as they empower mothers to choose life.”
The following statement may be attributed to Evangelist Alveda King, who delivered the keynote address for NIFLA’s Celebrate Life Luncheon:
“Working together, NIFLA and pregnancy centers that empower mothers of all backgrounds to choose life are an antidote to the poison of Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. An estimated overwhelming majority, perhaps as many as 75% of abortion clinics, are in areas with high minority populations. Abortion apologists will say this is because they want to serve the poor. You can’t serve the poor by terminating their children. Our movie, ‘Roe v. Wade,’ highlights the rarely told story of how abortion activists convinced a poor, pregnant teenager to be their pawn in the Roe test case. God bless NIFLA for holding up the banner of life.”
The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates is a national nonprofit providing legal counsel, education and training for pro-life pregnancy centers and medical clinics. Representing a network of more than 1,600 pregnancy centers across the nation, NIFLA has challenged laws targeting its members in several states — including California, Hawaii, Illinois, North Dakota and New York.
The Supreme Court’s NIFLA v. Becerra ruling protected the free speech rights of pro-life pregnancy centers and all Americans.
